Need Suggestions For A Kid Friendly Place To Stay...
I have a place on Bear Island but its no longer big enough for the whole family for a birthday party in August. The Church Landing in Meredith (and the other 3 hotels associated with it) is booked. I've stayed at the Naswa, not too keen on the hotel in Centre Harbor (its gone down hill in the past few years), and can't think of where else to stay.
There's five of us (2 adults, 3 kids). Any suggestions would help. Thank you.

Other Spots on the Lake
Have you ever stayed on the other end of the lake? It might give you a new perspective and further appreciation for Winnipesaukee, a new adventure.

We have always had good luck in the past with B Maes in Gilford, very kid friendly, indoor pool, nice suites with full kitchens.

Possible Hotel
The billboard says that kids stay free, how about the Margate?

Places To Stay...
Hey Rattlesnake Gal,
I was out by your island on Monday. Right by the huge wooden alligator. Love that part of the lake. Never tried staying in Alton or Wolfeboro only because our kids are small and they want to get to Bear Island the second they wake up. Meredith and Center Harbor allow us to get there that much faster. I would love to stay somewhere new. That's why I'm asking. Wolfeboro and Tuftonborough are my favorite places on the lake and I just recently drove around all of the Alton area. Very nice...very impressed. So don't think I'm biased about Meredith, its just easier for the kids.

places
Sandy Point in Alton Bay, Wolfeboro Inn and there is a list of lodging places on the home page of this website.
There are also some great B&B's in Meredith. (the are listed on the homepage under Lodging.) Good luck
