Exclamation Broads ice

I've be checking in periodically with Black cat NH and earlier today one snowmobiler got pulled from the water between Birch and LI, with CPR needed. Just read another report of a snowmobiler through the ice clinging onto the ice/waters edge between Mink and Rattlesnake a few minutes ago. Be careful out there and stay safe. I believe those areas where open water a week ago..

The one by Steamboat Island has died. I hope people realize the ice is not safe in the main part of the lake and are more careful!

Default Between Mink and Rattlesnake?

That's like saying between Meredith and Wolfboro. The two are no where near each other.

I'm only seeing the one published report in the Union Leader of someone through the ice in Moultonboro and in critical condition. Anyone seeing these other accidents on local news sites?

The end of today is very sad. Two snowmobilers drowned in Moultonborough and a 15 year old is missing in Alton. I sympathize so much with the families of the deceased. My father drowned in a boating accident in 1971 while fishing on the lake in Moultonborough. The shock and the feeling of emptiness is indescribable!

Absolutely. When the ice has only skimmed over out in the broads a couple of times, it is just not safe. I don't think it is going to be safe out there this year. I certainly would not go on it.

My condolences to the families.

My mother passed from cancer at 49. I still can hear my Grandmother saying that one is not suppose to outlive their children no matter how old they are.

I am a retired workaholic and continuing aquaholic.
