best place to buy dock pipe (at a good price)
Need to replace some rusted 2" dock pipe with new 10 ft pieces. Was surprised how much they wanted to charge me at local dock store. Wondered if anyone has a good source at a reasonable price (I tried Lowes - no luck). Thanks.

Look at Amazon. They have 8' foot. Call to see if longer are available. Home Depot has some galvanize but 8".

I found these people online. May cut any length you require. Galvanized inside and out.
http://www.galvadock.com/galvanized-pipes.html Good luck in your search. I am a retired workaholic and continuing aquaholic. |

Heath's hardware in Center Harbor has them. Not cheap in my opinion, but I didn't comparison shop. They also have dock hardware. I love that place.

best price
Heath's Hardware had the best price locally. They had to place an order but it is a pretty quick turnaround.

By two inch diameter dock pipe, you are probably talking about 2" galvanized steel pipe.
For aluminum pipe, like 1" or 1 1/2" diameter, there's East Coast Welding in Gilford, close to Fay's Boats, and Center Harbor Dock on Route 25. Center Harbor Dock has a big selection of aluminum dock items on display in their little dock store, and they construct some very nice docks, in their aluminum dock workshop.

What's the minimum length you can use? For a couple of decades I've had a small collection of pipe from a neighbor's old pipe dock, just taking up space under my shed. If you can use some/all of them, I'd be happy to unload them. Win-win. I can go measure them. I think they are short of 10', but maybe 8'.
