Post Winni Christmas Gifts

What did you receive for a Christmas gift that is Winnipesaukee related?

Myself, I received: Images of America "The Boats and Ports of Lake Winnipesaukee" by Bruce D. Heald. This is a great photo book with lots of historical information about Winni and I am very happy to have received it.

My wife received the book "Hungry For Summer" a unique collection of favorite recipes from island residents of Lake Winnipesaukee. It has many, many delicious recipes and dozens of interesting stories about our beautiful lake and island life.

Received a Garmin GPS for the boat (boat specific unit) with sonar. Can't wait to try it out! I still need to check and see if the Bizer maps work with this model - the 431s, but it sure looks like a nice unit!

Hey there....thanks for the reminder of the "Hungry For Summer" book. Quite a while ago, this book was discussed in one of the threads....so at that time, I went and ordered it.....only to find out that it was out of stock and I think they told me "indefinitely". In any event, I never got it. I wanted it for my Mom. So now I read this thread...and what did I do.....I just ordered it.

I ALMOST paid for 1-2 day shipping...but then I came to my senses....cause 3-5 days "ain't" so bad!

Default Winni Christmas gifts

My wife surprised me (totally) with an oil painting of the sculpture of a grandfather and grandson eating ice cream in the park next to the Wolfeboro docks. This picture was done by a local Wolfeboro artist who also happens to a friend of ours. Several people had to keep their mouths shut for a long time to keep me in the dark! I love the picture.

I don't have a grandson, but my granddaughter and I eat plenty of ice cream.

I didn't receive it technically, but we pitched in and gave my mom a Winni themed gift basket for Christmas this year. We put in a bunch of Winni-related stuff including fudge from Straw Cellar, a bottle of wine (w/ a custom Winni label), a gift certificate to Mise en Place, Winni napkins, etc. She loved it!!!

Default Christmas 2007

Since I received this gift from gtxrider in 2007, no one has given me a better Winni related gift for Christmas. It's still one of my favorites. I do try to add each year to my collection of Hampshire Pewter tree ornaments.Name: gift afghan.jpg

I hope you meant The North End as I believe The North Shore is officially out of business.

Default gift

My sister gave me a calendar, with many pictures of the Lake and family. The front page is the "Puddy-Tat" pulling me on a surfboard, with one of the few times my dad was driving "his" LOL boat. There were sunsets and other pictures as well. If you want to know she had it made at Walgreens, and it on nice stiff paper.

Every year gtxrider gives our mother a photo calendar with 90% of the pictures taken in NH. He has it made up so that the family member with a birthday in a particular month is the subject. He's Mr. May and I'm Miss September. Mom gets it for her Dec. 18th birthday so it's ready for the new year.
