Default Lost cat owner FOUND!

So I put up some "Found Cat" posters this morning at 8am. I put them on telephone poles around the area. At the Wolfeboro Library, several side streets, one near the school, etc... At 8:35 I got a phone call. Apparently this guys girlfriend lost her cat and it was it. She had been crying and heart broken at the loss of her cat and was worried about where it went. It is an indoor only cat and had gotten out somehow... Couldn't tell by the way it chased those Foxes around my yard....

So anyway I am supposed to meet her around 4pm to give her the cat back..

I am leaving the posters up until I know for sure....

Happy ending.....

What a heartwarming story. It was so nice of you to take the cat in and make an effort to find the owner. I hope everything works out and that she is back with her owner this afternoon.

Default Indeed you are the best!

I know how she felt upon losing her kitty. It's like losing a child. Thank you for bringing about what will be a joyous reunion!

Thanks.
Just an update. Apparently the cats name was leahya, Leia, Leah (SP?) Like princess Leah from Star wars. anyway, she already has had kittens. (Year and half old) Nice young couple met us at the Pine Cone and picked her up at 7 pm tonight. She has been missing for 6 days. I have had her for three.
I gave them the left over Friskies and kitty littler to take home. I kept the guys phone number in my phone under the contact name of "CAT" Just in case she runs away again...
So...end of story.

Thanks again for all the replies, but I was just doing what I felt was the right thing to do and that which I would hope someone would do for me.
Maybe I can get some sleep now....

Honestly...you are the best. You did something that a lot of others would not do. You took this baby in and took care of her....and eventually found her true home. You are a good person.
