Default For Free: 1/3 HP Electric Motor

I've got a 1/3 HP electric motor from a Teel Cast-Iron Shallow Well Pump System that I'd like to give away.

The cast iron casing on the pump fractured last winter and we bought a brand new pump, motor and all. I kept the motor from the old pump, though, and I don't have the heart to throw it away - I'd rather give it to someone who can use it. I know you fellow Island folk are a resourceful lot so I thought I'd offer it up here.

Stats: Teel Water Systems Model 1P979E
1/3 HP 115Volt PH1 HZ60 RPM 3540
Suction Inlet: 1.25"
Discharge Outlet: 3/4"
I have the manual with the wiring diagram

I live on Long Island, NY but have a house on Rattlesnake. Will bring it up to the Lake next spring to hand off.

Anyone interested?

Thanks,
Rich

Me too....also for free....have an old cast iron pump and 1/2hp-110v motor combo...used to use it for my year round shallow well system....was recyling on-off-on-off-on-off after tinkering for a couple weeks....gave up & found a new Italian made setup for $150. that works very, very well......so well, well, well, what a deep thought !

Anyone wants the old clunker for practical shallow well pump repair, self-instruction, or something, I'm at cheznous2@msn.com. seriously!
