I'm really surprised that a new house was permitted within maybe 75 feet of a bald eagle nest on Clay Point. I've seen the eagles sitting in the tree that holds the nest a few times, but there were no sign of chicks this year. The constant construction vehicle backing beeping is pretty annoying from 1/2 mile away. I can't imagine the eagles like it much within a couple hundred feet.
