Humming birds leaving
I must assume the Hummers have gone south due to the fact that last Monday while standing at the kitchen sink my Hummer flew up, hovered at the feeder then came to the window and hovered for a few seconds. Flying off and not showing up since.

In Center Harbor we haven't seen them for days. It seems a little early but they have their own clocks.

Seems this year was not a good one for them in my area. Only sporadic visits to my feeders by single hummers as opposed to them quarrelling with each other 2-3 at a time last summer.
On the other hand, we have a pair of beautiful, Pileated Woodpeckers that frequent a dying spruce tree near the house so we’ve been treated to their majestic antics and calling up close and personal! |

Methinks they've said bye bye
It has happened suddenly, but methinks they have left.
I put fresh nectar out last Fri or Sat and we still had our 4 or 5 birds fighting over the feeder. Monday, no activity, save one that came early morning while I was drinking coffee. It stayed for about a minute, and then flew off. Haven't seen one since. Maybe it was one for the road. I'll wait another day or so, and then call it a season. Dave

Hummingbirds Still Here!
As of 5 minutes ago, one was at my feeder. It's slowed down, but the ones that are coming are taking very long drinks! Sad to see them go

We had three of them in the bee balm at one point while we were playing cards on the porch this afternoon.

Still hanging on
Still hanging on... here's one hanging pout on the feeder, having lunch.
As you can see, the wind is really blowing hard. Feeder is almost straight out horizontal . (Sorry bout that! ) Dave

I saw one today. He/she spent quite a long time feeding on a red flower.

Stil here
No more fighting over the feeder, but we still have one (?). It goes to the feeder and also flies around the geraniums in the flower boxes on the deck.

Just saw one at my feeder!
I left both feeders out in case there were still some Hummingbirds in the area. This morning it looked like the liquid had gone down some and sure enough a straggler just showed up at the feeder!

Saw another one today
Another straggler to fly south stopped by today for a drink! Spent some time at the flowers too.

Still here
Had the regular pair here last night around dusk. Did have two pair last week but I don't think they will be here much longer.
