Dog-friendly association beaches
Are there any associations (big or small) on Winnipesaukee or Winnisquam that allow dogs on their beaches or have an area for dogs to access the water/swim? We are in a dog-friendly association but don't have water access for them and would really love to be able to take them into the water.

I wouldn't think so. I'm in Arcadia and nobody really has an issue the first couple weekends, but once things begin to pick up, it's a no-go.

Pretty sure you won't find any anywhere, definitely not during peak swimming season.

Any place is good access if you can toss them off the boat to get in .
There is a sandbar right near the launch ramp at Winnisquam that I have taken my dog to. You can access it by going to the end of the road rather than turning into the boat launch and wading into the water there. Just watch out for the leeches!

I was hoping maybe some smaller associations/shared beaches allowed dogs but it sounds like we might need to consider waterfront on a smaller lake (we likely can't afford waterfront on Winnipesaukee or Winnisquam) or not plan to take them swimming. Unfortunately we have bulldogs that sink instead of swim so we are just looking for somewhere for them to wade around. We take them to a local river here at home and they love wading in to cool off!

You should get them a puppy life vest. They likely won't enjoy wearing one the first couple times out but my retriever, Buster, doesn't mind it at all anymore. Dogs really aren't smart enough to come back to shore when they have had enough so they will push themselves past the point of exhaustion and sink. Plus, with the bright colors the vests come in, it improves their visibility to people and nearby boaters, and it'll give them the opportunity to actually swim instead of just walking around in the water .
My wife is a real estate agent in the lakes region and central NH primarily--shoot me a message if you don't already have an agent working on your behalf!

I don't believe dogs are 'allowed' at States Landing. People do take their dogs there, let them ****, then leave. The exact reason pets aren't welcome around beach areas.

Insurance won't allow them . . .
at our ROW's. There is another recent thread on this somewhere. I think you will find a hard time finding a place that allows them.
