While attepting to find the location of the Swissvale Ski Area, I found this list of defunct ski areas. I was suprised at the large number.

The ski hill is still there, but the rope tow is gone and it is now the sledding hill. |

I spent some time looking through that website and noticed the old Woodbound Inn slope in Jaffrey (where I learned to ski). My family had 3 generations of family that worked in various roles at the Inn including my grandmother, my father, both aunts and my brother and myself. I went to the link for the Woodbound Inn area and noted a postcard posted there from 1967 with the personal message to the authors parents on the back. The last line of the note mentioned their waitress - Pauline.....Pauline was my grandmother who worked there at that time...pretty cool to see.
