Here in Bedford NH we have a building set aside for this exact purpose.I have replaced windows and garage doors and left the old ones to be resold.I don't really care where the money goes cause I was throwing them away anyway and I'm glad they didn't end up in a landfill.I believe in our town the money goes to local town non-profit groups and the people that run are not on the town payroll.I think it's a great idea.
