Default Tin Roof

My grandfather roofed an attached shed with tin that was right next to his bedrom window. He specifically did that so that he could hear the rain hit it. However, he was born in 1892 and he may have been reminiscing about sounds of his chidhood. It did have a distinctive sound though. The roof, to my knowledge was installed in 1960 and is still there.
