The single left turn lane still being used made me curious as to why it is only one lane, (I guess I had hoped they would be done for the season by this weekend) so I decided to revisit the DOT website (just now). Normal traffic patterns will be resumed by June 9, 2018. The project will then be suspended for the summer months, resuming on September 4, 2018. Sundays and holidays are the biggest problem.Southbound traffic is sometimes backed up as far as Moulton Farms. The lights go through a normal cycle with almost no traffic coming out of downtown Meredith or going south or east from Rt 3.That means that cars continue to pile up southbound while the other lanes have almost no traffic.
Hopefully, the crosswalk light will be synced to the southbound light which might be a big help. |

This is an absolute mess. Because of the one left-turn lane still in place, it seems they have not placed the normal cones at the foot of Pleasant St. Cars are getting in the left where the cones used to be and turning left from Pleasant St is an experience. Traffic earlier today backed up well past the yacht club on Pleasant St with cars waiting to turn left. What improvement is this???

You are correct. I went through there twice in the last two days and the line to make the left both times was by hannaford. I can only imagine what July and August will be like if it doesn’t go back to the way it was. What a disaster. Sent from my iPhone using Winnipesaukee Forum mobile app |

I'm pretty sure it means you didn't read this:

I did read it but as it looks at the moment there will only be one left turn lane until the project is finished although I am hoping different. Sent from my iPhone using Winnipesaukee Forum mobile app |
