A bob-house decorating contest will be held from 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Snowmobile demos will be held from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. The children’s fishing derby, sponsored by the Alton Centennial Rotary Club will start at 10 a.m. and run throughout the afternoon. Pond hockey will be held, at no cost, from 11 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Helicopter rides will be lifting off from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m., with a cost of $30 per person. Sleigh rides will be going around the ice during the same time, with the cost being $5 per person, $15 for a family of four and $20 for a family of five or more. The Ice Princess will be walking around and entertaining guests throughout the day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The snowmobile parade will be held from 12 to 12:30 p.m. The bob-house decorating winners and crazy hat winners will be announced at 1 p.m. At 1:15 p.m., a K-9 demonstration will be presented by the Alton Police Department. The Great Alton Bay Bed Race Parade will be held at 2:45 p.m., and the race will be held at 3 p.m. Registration for this race is required through the parks and recreation department by today, Feb. 14. A 50/50 raffle drawing will be held at 3:15 p.m., with tickets sold throughout the day. A closing ceremony will be held at 4 p.m., and food will be served throughout the day at the Alton Busi-

Special thanks go out to the Alton Business Association, The ABA Winter Carnival Committee, the Alton Parks and Recreation Committee, the Alton Centennial Rotary Club and the Alton Bay Christian Conference Center and the Alton Police Department and The Alton Fire Department for their support.
