Here in Northern MA, the same thing, the news reports 17 inches in my town, there is no way there is 17 inches of snow out there. All this talk about a blizzard, it looked more like light snow to me.

Maybe the coast caught the brunt of the storm, at most we had heavy snow for 30 minutes in the afternoon. I would guess less than 12 inches. Where are they measuring snow fall from, resenlty plowed banks?
