Memorial Day Weekend

As I reflect on what I thought were chores opening my Uncle's property in West
Alton on Memorial Day Weekend, I now relish the imbued memories of days gone by. Put up storms, put down screens, turn on silcocks, turn on the outdoor shower, put the dock ladder on its respective hinges. Most of these accomplished before dunking the Donzi at Ames Farm and returning to the boat house. Truly it was the start of summer magic at the lake for another season.

We should all be grateful for the freedoms that we enjoy, and for the time spent at really one of Mother Natures finest the Lake, and the memories now instilled at the only place I ever felt naturally intoxicated, and relaxed, "The Cottage".

With life and work taking up most of my days, I so look forward to a day on the lake. Yes to all of you full timers up there, the jealousy and envy is greener than the darkest pines. Relish what you have, and the sense that we as boomers have survived the '60s and will rock with whatever else is to come!
