Default Subway in Meredith

Went to Subway in Meredith last night to grab a menu for the 6 college boys at my house who all returned to their collective colleges today after the winter break. They had enough Doritos and snacks and now it was time for some food. Walked in, and didn't see anyone in there. Looked around the counter and saw a young lady sitting on the prep table in the back room. I said hi and she answered hi without getting up. She proceeded to stroll over and I asked her for a menu to take back to the house to let the boys make an order which we would call in, and she replied "we don't have any menus". Another employee wandered out from the kitchen, but never spoke. They were both young teens. How about offering some suggestions? Or being friendly? Or an aggressive sales pitch? I know, I know, "fast food is fast food" and doesn't compare to sit down establishments. But do the math-6 college boys x 6 large subs x chips x beverages...and I was the only car in the lot at 6:30 p.m. I won't be back and I live here.

I pop into Subways maybe about once a month between Mass and N.H. and never had a problem. I actually like their sandwiches especially now since they toast them on request. But yes, you have it right they are just another form of "fast food." Still a better lunch than Micky D's in my opinion.

Meredith lady, you should have asked for a computer with Internet connection, not a menu.

I frequent Subway in Meredith. The manager there is very nice, I can only remember having an issue there once, and it was with an employee. I let the manager know the next time I saw him and he was very open to criticism and gave me a free sub for my troubles. I think you shouldn't be so hasty to judge the entire place on one teenage kid.

One thing lacking in retail and restaurant management is teaching teens interpersonal skills. Don't forget this is the text, IM and email generation and many of them aren't taught the skills necessary to interact appropriately with the paying public. It's a sad commentary on today's society but true. I have 3 teens and battle it everyday, so I know what I speak of!!

Default Moultonborough Subway

I have never been to the Meredith subway but if you want to drive a little further for friendly service, go to Moultonborough Subway. The staff there is great !! They are friendly and curteous, and your in and out very quickly! I have been to The New Hampton location and they dont even compare to the great staff in Moultonborough.

The last I knew Mike Mooney from Meredith owned the New Hampton, Meredith & Lincoln Subway locations..I am almost certain the Moultonborough location is his as well. Regardless, I can guarantee his philosophy in all these locations is good customer service especially the Meredith location, his home town.

Unfair to write them off without a word to the manager/owner. After a word with the powers then a repeat is cause to drop them.
