BNH new logo
Does anyone know what the new BNH logo means? It looks like a carpenter's square or something. I couldn't find anything on their website explaining it. Maybe I missed the article in the Sun explaining it (if there was one).

While I don't know the meaning of the logo, if there is any, my opinion is that it looks dumb. And their web page looks like something thrown together on Squarespace.

Black and blue, the color of your hide after you get a loan at today's interest rates.

My 2nd grader has done better designs than that. Looks like a lot of thought and creativity was put into it 🤔

I think they may be going after a younger crowd that have many more online options than the older generations did.
That includes both the deposit and loan side of the equation. ''Rebrand''ing is usually an attempt to lure a customer base that a business projects is the future driver of their business. |

Looks like a diagram of a miter joint to me.

I don't pay much attention to brewers... but moving in a direction and then trying to back track... not that great of an idea.
BNH was seeing a future of declines. Something that cannot be offset from traditionalists like me. |

BNH - South Main St, Plymouth
I like BNH ....... as an abbreviated name for the bank ...... is faster and more direct than its' formal name .... the Bank of New Hampshire.
BNH has a new sign on South Main St, Plymouth that says BNH, just went up, and it looks good and helps to give it an easy i.d. for the location as you drive down the road. Now, maybe BNH will start serving free Maxwell House coffee original that is "good to the last drop!" just like the MVSB. That is a totally free, expensive cup of coffee with a distinctive blue label.

The first page of BNH's website talks a lot about "people" and relationships, which is a good marketing approach but how the logo connects to people is ??? In the end, the logo speaks more to the marketing company being good at selling their branding ideas to the bank rather than the logo's relationship to the bank. |

I don’t even see how the new logo connotes “forward”. I agree with Slick, it’s a stumper and somewhere in the cafeteria of a design company the task force that created it is laughing.

Justifying their existence
Just another example of someone trying to justify their $xxx position by revamping the entire corporate image with no apparent reason or justification while spending millions to accomplish the task.

I believe they are trying to push beyond the boundaries of the State, the same way they changed names from Laconia Savings Bank to the Bank of NH when they wanted to spread across the State.

I was waiting for you to say that the other one was a mountain and they want to be a little less local—as someone else pointed out. Either way, it's horrible and, methinks, not nearly as nice as Granite State Credit Union's new design (last couple years) that really embraces NH. They also, by the way, have some pretty good CD rates right now. Sent from my SM-S911U using Tapatalk |

I would have one question for Senior Management.
If that's the case, I have one more question for their senior management team: What the hell was wrong with "BNH"??? Sure seemed to provide good identification for their customers. (Where do you bank? BNH)

Some dude in India was paid $5 on Fiver to design this logo. Marketing firm marked it up to $150k. They should start paying a market rate of interest so assets stop flowing out of the bank. Where is the board oversight?

Online banks have lower overhead.
BNH is moving from its mutual community bank roots as LSB toward the regional level. Going online toward the younger crowd grows the business while keeping the overhead down. It is like full service ATMs rather than tellers; or self-check outs instead of cashiers. The tellers and cashiers get trained to do higher value jobs. |
