I know you can't halt progress, but I am sad to see this abandoned mill building go. It's behind City Hall. I took the before image in July and the after image yesterday. I apologize for the quality, both taken with my IPad.

I'm not sure it was progress that caused the tear down or simply functional obsolescence in combination with cost. Often times the cost to repair these buildings is substantial and their usefulness is low.

The city and local residents are glad that particular building is gone. It was built in the 30's and has no significant history. The old FW Webb warehouse will soon be replace by HUD apartments for assisted living. The land needs extensive cleaning as well.
