Lane markings in Meredith??
Does anyone know why its taking so long to complete the new lane markings in Meredith? The resurfacing was done in late July.

All has to go before the zoning board. Then the planning board. Then the selectmen. Then the Wetlands Board. Then the Historic District Commission. Then the building inspector. Then the NH DOT. Then the state Line Painting Color Commission. Then the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration.
And finally the Meredith Dog Officer. |

The new asphalt failed some type of test and it maybe will have to be removed and redone ..... dunno anything else?
"Trouble with asphalt put down at critical Meredith intersection" Aug 21, 2013, Laconia Daily Sun ........... Now that Aubuchon's is in the process of moving over to the Hannaford retail store plaza, anyone know if the State of NH will be removing the Aubuchon building and replacing the big intersection with another roundabout anytime soon and removing all the stoplights? So, what's the plan, what's the plan here for another roundabout .... how many hundreds of years before it gets built?

Lane striping
Thanks for the reference to the Sun article, I had missed it. There's very little information on the paving/striping issue but a lot about a host of other extraneous issues. When I see phraseology like "may have to be removed and redone, and unclear responsibilities between contractor and material supplier", its a sure bet there's much finger pointing going on.
