Default The Radar Run

Well we shot video and about 350ish stills yesterday. If anyone knows who the people on the sleds are, and if they have email AND want copies of the pictures in high res., just have them email me. I'll send them right out. There are 7 pages of stills on my Photography section and they are by no means all of them. After editing for 4 hours my eyes were crossing and I had to call it quits.

The web page is at Radar Run 2005

Default Does anyone know what the top speed was?

I missed the radar run due to the change in days. I just looked through the pics on the site, didn't seem to be many heavy hitters there... If anyone can tell me what the top speed was on the day I would appreciate it. Thanks, WBB

Thanks for posting those pictures!

I'm on the Alton Parks & Rec Commission and would like to see the three major contributors to the success of the Winter Festival (AANH, Alton Parks & Rec, and Mt Major Snowmobile Club) talk about what is best for the majority of their participants and agree on a date and a weather date (I refuse to use the "R" word after the past week or so.). There are also others such as the high school kids running food stands, PTSA food stand, and the Lions who need to be kept in the loop.

I can tell you the reason for the change to Saturday was to allow a postponement of only one day if there was a snowstorm on Saturday. If there was a snowstorm with the event on a Sunday, then the weather postponement date would be the following weekend (and not a three day weekend) with no guarantee that the weather would be better in a week. We don't usually get two snowstorms back to back.

We certainly want to accomodate as many people and participants as possible and want to consider all options. Thanks for your input.
