Default Ice-in

As we begin the New Year and the winter season has officially begun, I will be eying the Big Lake for "Ice In". Now that the temps have fallen to more seasonable levels and the wind has lessened. There was finally some skimming in the small bays and coves this morning. With temperatures forecasted to fall below 0' tonight we should see thickening of these areas and more shoreline freezing. The third week of January is the normal "Ice in". Stay tuned!
