Seeing Eye-to-Eye
A very bold gray squirrel has recently learned that he can come right up to our picture windows and taunt the cats, and that they can't get him. I took this shot today of the squirrel teasing Marty, our flame-point Siamese. The squirrel showed no fear at all.

Could it be that this squirrel has been exposed to a cat when young? Sometimes we see pictures of a mother cat nursing a new born squirrel along with her kittens? I am looking at only this one picture but the squirrel almost seems adoring in some way? Maybe I am just a romatic at heart!

Those darn squirrels
The squirrels also taunt our Bluepoint and Sealpoint Siamese.... they DO know the cats can't get to them, or they'd be munched on already. The little chipmunks taunt the cats also. But it is kinda fun to listen to the cats chatter to the rodents!

Just pals
You may have a point, Lucky1, in which case he may consider the cat to be friend rather than foe and is only asking, "Can you come out and play?"

Great Picture!
Maybe that squirrel is the one that came up with the idea of the lights on Rattlesnake.
Drove you and Quilt Lady crazy and is now working on your pets!

Marty has a question . . .
Being the Bon Vivant he is from New Orleans, Marty would like to know the best wine to go with squirrel. He is planning on making a piquant gumbo with his tormentor and is unsure if red or white goes best with squirrel.
