House Hunting
Looking to buy on Moultonborough Neck. We have a home and planning to maybe sell and upgrade. Range 1m to 1.4m. Looking at a property on Garnet Point Road (#16 is for sale). It is near Camp Robindel and Geneva Point Camp. Have been warned that those camps might get loud on busy weeks (a lot of activity - horns and whistles - lots of activity in the water in the area, etc). Nothing bad - but we were looking for a quiet spot. Anyone familiar with the area and have an opinion? We want to be in Moultonborough. Either side of the neck is fine. Thanks in advance...

Thanks Sue! We are on MN road already (right before Jojos) so we are used to the traffic at the corner of Rte 25 - and this place is about the same distance. That being said, we might pass on it and keep looking since we have heard that those 2 camps down there can get very very busy - and sometimes noisy and a little hectic.

I am directly across from Geneva Point. At least from the water side, the "noise" from the four or so camps in the area is happiness--kids singing, playing games, etc. I enjoy it. And just to be clear, I'm a curmudgeon when it comes to other lake noise.

Oh and I think 16 Garnet Point Road looks nicer than that. 1.46 Acres, house looks in better shape and I suspect you can get it under asking since it's been listed for a while now. Not to go to off topic for OP sake, but just so you know what you are dealing with. Look at this house. They tried to sell it in 2017 for $979k and failed, they just sold it for nearly double that at $1.85m !! https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/4...94246339_zpid/ |
