Actually it really looks like an image you'd find on a Postcard Fifty or Eighty years ago!

It was taken from the deck of my home up on hill behind Ellacoya State Park.

Tough job...
Tough job but someone has to do it: Be out on an island (Welch's) with great views, and when you can't be out there, have this for a view. Tsk, tsk, tsk...such a tough life.
(Great picture. Thanks for sharing. ) Dave

Love the pink mountains
That wonderful first shot is similar to views we often have here in a Tucson, as we look east to the sunset-facing Catalina Mountains. In fact, a local singer/songwriter penned a ditty called ‘When the Mountains Turn Pink It's Time for a Drink.’

Well yes kind of... I can see my breakwater and flagpole on Welch from my mainland home.
Edited to add: Ask your brother who did a great job building my garage! He is a great home builder and a class act!! Dan
