Garmin GPS installer recommendation?
I just purchased a new Garmin Fishfinder/Chartplotter 7" w/transducer and am looking for an installer. I have a 24' bowrider.
If you are looking for a very good gps with detailed Winnipesaukee map, I did the research and this is what I purchased: Garmin Echomap Chirp Plus 73cv Us LakevÜ W/Cv22hw-Tm Transducer for $399 shipped! http://www.hodgesmarine.com/ Thanks! |

I spoke with Nick from NW Marine - he is going to install for me!
Very nice to talk to and a tremendous amount of experience! Will follow-up with pictures!

BTW, a reminder that Nick does other types of work as well. He redid my car wiring to my trailer last fall and worked me through a mismatch with my old snowmobile trailer and modern car/trailer connector units. It turned out the modern connecters could not handle the load of 15 incandescent trailer tail lights and markers. It would work for a few minutes, then cut out. I had to replace all the bulbs with LED equivalents. That plus the redo of the unit in the truck fixed it all up.
Be sure to check out the kinds of electronics Nick does. If he works on it, it always comes out right. |

thank you for the kind words. I appreciate it. Everyone has their 'thing'. Its what makes it all go round.
Hope everybody has a really good boating season this year. Be careful and don't loose sight of common sense in the prop wash of the soon-to-arrive beautiful endless summer days that are before us. thanks everyone for your support over the last few years! |

I have used Nick to completely wire two boats from start to finish. Stereo equipment, running lights, tachometer, battery power, everything Great, neat, quality work at a very fair price.
I know some local marinas and marine related businesses have been using him too. He does better work than their in house people do. Quality work at a reasonable price! |
