Hiking access from Grant Road in Gilford?

Perhaps a realtor or local knows what is happening with the property on Grant Road? Hikers used to have access to trails in the Belknap Range from the upper end of Grant Road but about 2 years ago signs went up prohibiting access. Then some fancy stone work was being done at the entrance and more explicit signs were posted. But for at least a year now it seems like nothing has been happening (like a building project that never happened) and for several months there have been no signs prohibiting hiking. There is a small ‘For Sale’ sign near the entrance but I’m not sure if is for that property, part of it, or the one just past the property.

Any info would be appreciated.
