Haven't heard any news recently about what Laconia's going to do about the Boardwalk that was damaged after last year's flood. It seems hard to believe with the snow flying down here in MA but the season kicks off in a couple of months with fireworks at Funspot and Bike Week shortly after that. I've seen one or two stories about the cost for repairs being in the vincity of a million dollars. Maybe more. Has the city made any committment to make repairs or is the economic mess we're in making it difficult?

Martino,
The boardwalk was fixed months ago. The train was operating again last year. Not sure how they paid for it or if they have paid for it but they did fix it. |

I don't think it is completely fixed, the stairs down to the docks are still missing.
