Lakes Region Aerial Photo - Absolutely Super!

Our family gave us a custom aerial photo shoot as a gift last Christmas, and we finally had a chance to schedule it for last Friday. I just want to let everybody know what a super experience this was!

Right from the start, the owner, Bill, made it a fun process! His genuine enthusiasm for aerial photography was very contagious, and his directions were easy to follow.

He clearly cares deeply about satisfying his customers, and talk about prompt delivery! Our photo shoot was at 11:00 AM, the proofs were up on his website at 5:00 PM, and he even called us to let us know when they had been posted.

The quality of his photography was superb with respect to both the clarity of the images and the composition of the pictures. The response from everybody to whom we've sent the link to the proofs has been "Oh, WOW"! These photographs are something we'll treasure for a very long time.

The only problem is that we're having a very hard time choosing which ones to have printed; I sense a large, multi-photo wall display in the offing.

We have purchased some of Bill's stock aerial photos. He had them matted and framed for us and they are really beautiful. One of them is a photo of Sleepers Island and our shoreline (Echo Shores), with Alton Bay in the background, and when our next door neighbor saw it he had me order one for him, too. Bill does outstanding work, and he is a real gentleman as well.

On each of the next three weekends, Bill's doing 'Shoot My Boat' out in the broads. We did it in July and love the pictures! The quality of his work is outstanding and it is hard to choose! If you go for a shot of your boat in action - Bill's not kidding, don't forget to smile!

I'm working with him now to do a shot of our shoreline (house is hidden in the trees). It's my husband's birthday present - as Silver Duck noted, they make great gifts.

Ditto..... One definition:

A great photograph is the photographer's interpretation or rendering of four dimensions: length, width, depth at an instant in time, on a two dimensional piece of media, often paper.

Aerial photography, creating images that snap to life and have impact are difficult, to say the least. The weather conditions are so important, and he knows how to interpret the weather to create beautiful images.

Bill does it so well.

Thanks for your message about my definition I posted.

I was a member longer than this user account indicates; I became frustrated by some posts by people who seemed to lack respect for true boaters educated as a kid to respect others on any body of water. in my opinion after observing on the Lake such lack on "common sense" when navigating.

OK, I have to ask.......... what make/length of boat is that? And I have to agree with Argie's Wife, it's Miami Vice! (Can you make a 272 Cobalt Bowrider look that great??????) Awesome shots, Bill -- I always enjoy what you are kind enough to share with us!

You captured some great shots of our boat last Saturday and we will be buying a few once we decide on sizes. I for one think this is a great thing to have at the lake and it makes for a fun Saturday afternoon. Our boat is a 22ft bowrider and I am trying to use the Shoot my boat experience to buy a bigger one with excuses like,

-It would be easier for you to get good shots if the boat was larger.
-We wouldn't be tossed around as bad by the big wakes.
-It would look cooler in the pictures.

Unfortunately for me, my wife sees through my list of reasons (excuses) and is not going along with the plan.

I, too, just noticed that this thread was still active. Lakesrider, you got your wish; the custom photoshoot that Bill posted was ours! I didn't post the link before because I wasn't sure how Bill would feel about posting a link into his reviewing area. Now you can see why I was so happy with the results.

(And, if you look at my hair color, you'll see where the silver part of Silver Duck comes from, but I'm staying mum about the duck part!)

Waterbaby, it's a Monterey 290 (Shep Brown's is the local dealer.) She's 29 feet long not counting the "integrated" swim platform, 31 1/2 feet if you count it. We were running at just about 45 mph during the shoot.

I've no doubt whatever that Bill can produce just a nice a result for your your Cobalt 272.

Now I'm seriously thinking about this........... We're considering selling Bear (name of boat) because we barely get to go up and out once a year these days (making for a VERY expensive ride!!!!!!!!) -- I'd totally love something like that to have a fabulous memory! (Which of course will lead to the "what were we thinking, selling the boat thing.....")
