Impending ice out, loons, moles, increased traffic - yes, it's here! A surer sign is the tick I just picked off of one of the dogs and the spider the size of Detroit I just found in my bathtub.
![]() In the next few minutes I expect the poison ivy to pop up and a swarm of black flies to invade. Yuck. But at least we don't have to shovel the black flies ![]() |

Black flies aren't allowed out until Mother's Day. I still have time to scoop the last of the snow out of my flower garden before they chase me inside, right??
