According to a August, 1914, engagement announcement, my great-grandparents, Colin and Theresa Ingersoll, used to stay/own a place in Meredith called Turtle Camp. The NY Times clipping said that the family, "is at Turtle Camp, the country place of the Ingersolls, at Meredith, N.H."
I don't know if Turtle Camp was their own pet name for their own house. Does this ring a bell with anyone in the Meredith area? |
