'Cause it don't work. Replaced the fuse, tried all the connections and it still doesn't work. Any thoughts?

Just have to break down and buy a new one. I did a week ago as mine failed to work on my first trip out.

the failure point could be the wiring, switch, or the horn itself. Changing parts may well fix the problem, but you could end up buying parts you don't need. if you have access to a multi-tester or test light, connect it across the horn, and press the horn switch to see if power gets to the horn. if it does, then change the horn. if it doesn't _ work back toward the switch to see if that is OK.. proceed to the power source/fuse box,and eventually you will discover the faulty component.

We had the same type of problem. The horn made avery low sound kind of like a sick goose. A quick rap on the back of the horn helped for a while.
Check to see if there is power to the horn. Replace horn if needed or just shout BEEP when the button in pushed. ![]() |

Did you replace a good fuse or a blown fuse? Does the horn "click", or make any sound at all? A blown fuse should indicate a bad horn, switch, or an intermittant "swinging short" in the wiring. I'd start in the middle—at the horn button. If dash-mounted, the back of the switch should have two terminals: try using a connector across those two terminals with the ignition on. The horn should work then, although the fuse could blow again if the problem is the horn or between the switch and the horn. Otherwise, remove the horn itself and jump the terminals firmly at the battery. Use insulated tools, as there can be a minor but uncomfortable shock generated. (Also, sometimes a horn benefits from a "jump start" for the new season ![]() If it works while jumped at the battery, then the problem is between the horn and the battery. If the horn only "tries" to beep, I'd replace it. Again, start at the horn button.
