Anyone have knowledge of gas mileage for a Polaris 600 with Variable Exhaust Valves (VES) and TM 38 carbs for model year 2004+/- ? I'm looking to buy a 2004 600 Classic and I would like to know the approx. gas mileage it would get. I know it depends upon how it's driven however my current sled is always within a range of only 2 MPG up or down no matter how I drive it. I'm just looking for real world mileage from anyone who may have one of these motors. Thanks.

You should average around 14 MPG with a long track. How well you keep those VES valves clean and how hard you are on the throttle of course plays into the equation.

My current sled, a Polaris 600 XC Deluxe, gets 8 MPG. Never gotten better than 10 mpg.
