Default Motels/Cabins/Resorts that allow dogs

An acquaintance wrote to ask about Lake Winnipesuakee area and if there are motels/cabins/resorts that allow dogs. I know I read a thread about restaurants and pets and swear that there was also one about places to stay that allowed pets....but can't find it. Anybody remember it or what page it was on, or given that I might have imagined it, does anybody know of places that do allow small dogs? Thanks.

JL - I know for certain that Channel Cottages has several cottages that are set aside for guests with dogs. Give proprietors Jose and Stacy DeMatos a call to see if they have any vacancy left for those cottages this season!

BTW - great to see you and your Mom the other day, and even happier to know that you're both feeling better again!

PS - you didn't imagine it! Here's a link to last year's thread regarding accomodations that allow pets: http://www.winnipesaukee.com/forums/...highlight=pets

If you have a boat to get there the Mark Island Cottages will let you have friendly dogs as long as yours can get along with their 3 beautiful goldens (as well as my 3 mutts next door!). Watching Bella the dog run dock the dock to meet the mail boat and bring the bag back to the house is a great tourist sight.
