Hello All,
I have a restored 1969 Triumph Trophy 650 motorcycle. Over the years I change Insurers as needed for it but it's a small universe. Through my agent Condon & Skelly I got a less-than-useful answer that I found unacceptable as to why the Premium went up about 60% in the last 12 months. I have a clean record and excellent credit. Can anyone suggest other Insurers? I am familiar with some of the more common names like...Hagerty. Need more. Thanks. HH |

you can go direct to Grundy or Hagerty directly. I would recommend you get an official appraisal on the vehicle/motorcycle as they will only agree to amount they see fit unless you have an official appraisal.

You try an on-line vintage motorcycle insurance quote with Progressive Insurance, the #1 sponsor at Laconia Motorcycle Week?

I use American Collectors. I have three vintage vehicles (1956, 1975, 1986) insured with them for stated value and the premium in total is about $700 annually.

We use Haggerty. Three antique vehicles for less than $600.

First of all, have your vehicle(s) appraised by a certified appraiser. Check with Hemmings Motor News. Insurance companies such as Hagerty advertised in the news. Call the companies and see if they accept the appraisal and go from there! Would love to see your Triumph!

American Collectors lets you tell them your declared value - of course the premium will reflect that...

I use Hagerty through Greg... GREGORY ALLEN <[email protected]>
I believe he has other lines. I have 12 old bikes plus 20K in parts for $1235 annually. I host an AMCA camp and ride the weekend before Laconia here in Moultonboro. There is usually a Triumph or 2! |

Some state insurance premiums could be eventually changed, as a bill has been introduced restricting vintage vehicle use to daylight hours and one day a week.

I have four classics too - and laws like this are nonsense. The legislators/representatives forget who they work for... And if you think it doesn't apply to you if you are not a vintage auto owner - who is to say that classic boats wouldn't be next?
