Check out Windows Live Local (if you haven't already) and find your spot on the lake! You can zoom in to a 100 yard aerial view of most areas around the lake......

The bird's eye views are incredible, too bad they don't have them around the lake. The aerial view are about the same as on Google or Terraserver.

The Bird's eye photos were taken from an aircraft. The real trick is to scale them, compensate for different lighting conditions, and fit them all together. When done correctly like these are, the detail is incredible. Hopefully the data base will expand. Back yard sun bathers beware!

Interesting as can be. What a kick to check out my old home in Reading MA, wife & I's first house in North Pole Alaska, then on to Mountain Home ID, Bossier City LA, Billerica MA, Clifton Park NY, and of course our humble abode here in Alton Bay. Thanks Mcdude!!!!!
