Just trying to get an update. What are the ice conditions of the Lake. Ice out has never, ever, occured on April 9th and seeing that it is my fathers 82nd birthday, I am so hoping it will happen Friday morning. Do we have a chance? Thanks for your input

Starting to see open water above the roofs on the Wolfeboro Streetcam, and at the lower edge of the Wentworth cam. Winnisquam Marine webcam showing 2 large open areas that are getting larger by the minute. So, it has begun.
But, even when the ice breaks up, it us usually at least a week before the large floating bergs finally melt and ice out is declared. So I doubt we'll see it by Friday. I'm disappointed too. I always guess my sons birthday which has equally long odds....the 8th. ![]() |

Sorry to say it doesn't look good for Dad's birthday. Still an awful lot of ice to go away in just a few days, and temps are not all that warm. Most important though, Happy Birthday to your Dad, and many more.
