Hey all,
Does anybody know if there are any good bike/snowmobile trails around Glendale? I've been coming to the lake for years but this is the first that I'll have a cruiser at MVYC and will be spending a lot more time up there. I'm hoping that if the rain ever stops, I'll be able to enjoy a nice bike ride before heading out on the lake. Thanks for any advice! Last edited by FamilyMan; 05-25-2005 at 08:07 PM. |

I know Gunstock used to open up trails for mountain biking & there was a trail use fee. Not sure how much & if they still do. Give them a call.

Thanks for the advice. That does sound like an interesting place to ride. I'll check it out.

There are many off road biking and walking trails besides Gunstock. Your best bet is to talk to local bikers. I find Piche's Sports Store in Gilford to be a great resource. Many of the staff are bikers themselves and know where to go around the lake. Walking trails are everywhere too. If you do not want to hike mountains, some milder walks are the Kimball forest trail off of 11A which is a short walk and light hike up in one section. Another one is off of Parade Road and has a little parking lot. Again it is not a mountain hike but there are some hills. The Chamber of Commerce in Laconia may have some more information and trail maps too.
