I'm sure this question has been asked before what are the requirements to put in a raft or water trampoline?

A new-to-me brand of "raft" appeared today. These are apparently rented items, installed at your shorefront.
It appeared to be not very purposeful; however, an installer climbed up one side, demonstrating that it is a water-going version of "The Wall"—sure to build upper body strength, while having fun on the water. ![]() |

We had a Sea doo brand 10' wide "trampoline" on the water about 10 years ago.
Does not bounce anything like one on land. Just a place to basically sit on, and not very comfortable since the top was trampoline type material. |

Late this morning, just before it got super-windy, the installers returned to examine the raft's tether attachment. I don't know how they determined something was wrong, but it seems there was some damage underneath from this morning's 15-knot wind—a fabric tear? They towed it away—just in time—as the winds got progressively worse.

I always see those types of things in front of many lakeside homes. No one is ever on them.

There are a couple by me and they get pretty good use. I think it depends on the family. Young kids like the bouncy tramps and young adults like to sun. Older adults, only occasional use.

There is a cove nearby that has a few of those things in front of a house. The cove is very narrow so the inflatable water toys make it difficult to pass by

I hope my neighbors get them, as it keeps gawkers 150' away from the shoreline.
![]() Another type of raft went by this morning. It looks like a swollen double-sided ladder. ![]() From what I saw, you pull down on the blue "girdle", then reach up as though you were climbing "The Wall". |

Was the one you saw go by being picked up by two young guys? I saw it too if that is what you are talking about. This is not the one I saw. This is a mixed up post. Sorry. Last edited by tis; 09-01-2014 at 10:21 AM. |

Like docks, moorings and swim-safety line they are supposed to be registered with the town. But... Like docks, moorings and swim-safety-lines, this is not commonly done. I'd encourage you to center it in front of your property.
If you have more than one attachment point for the mooring, run lines from all of them to a center line to spread the strain. Good luck/have fun! |
