We got a solid 12" in Chester. At least the weather reports were not as fanatical as previous storms. I believe someone here called it a "snowpocalypse" report.

All of our snow up here in Andover was drifted up so no real way of telling what we had. Banks are as high as they were in October so probably around the 10 or 11 mark.
I had already started golfing down south and had put to bed any ideas of winter activities. Could have done without this one. |

We got maybe 3" here on our part of Long Island. Ossipee "snow shadow" effect? Weather.com said around 8" for Moultonborough as of mid afternoon, whatever part that gets reported on.

Somewhere between 6-10 inches in the Laconia, Belmont Gilmanton, Gilford area. Hard to tell with the blowing. Going out at 4am to do cleanups.

Forecast on WMUR was for 7-14". NWS was 8-14".
I ended up with just over 10" Seems to me like the forecast was pretty accurate, at least in my backyard.

After many measurements here on the mountain by the lake it looks as if it is about 9" as we had lot's of drifting from the wind off of the lake. It wasn't bad to handle it being so fluffy and light. I actually kinda enjoyed being out getting the fresh air and moving it around even at 73 and I wasn't in any big hurry.

Not much more than 5" at my place in Meredith. High forties at the end of next week. I think I'll just leave the snowblower in the barn for this one...

It is best to have a couple of inches of snow on the pavement when the rain freezes on Sunday. It will be easier to scoop up rather than trying to break ice.

Dirt driveway already snow covered so I'm going to have ice either way. I won't need luck but I will need studded boots. Thank you for your concern.

They had to find someone with a snow blower to remove the snow then they sanded it. It cost them more in the end then if they had it plowed originally. I usually don’t go out for 2 inches unless requested. But I always watch the temps to see what will happen if the snow is left unchecked. If I see what I believe will be a situation, I make a call and ask how they want to proceed. Sometimes your damned if you do damned if you don’t. I still take care of snow removal for the person mentioned above and they are very happy with the work.

Some bust!
I got a foot of wet & heavy to clear Thursday morning! Fortunatly it set up just right for me to finish the job Friday morning, before work. I was worried it would become too hard. |
