Default Johnson's Cove Construction?

Hubby and I were in one of our favorite places the other day just hanging when this construction barge pulled up and started placing I guess pilings? This is such a nice spot and I know the Marriots bought the land on one side of it where the airstrip is. Are they going to put up docks and take down trees and build big homes there too? Anyone got any info.

Default too bad

Wow...that would be a shame. Although you had to figure it was only a matter of time.
Johnson's Cove has been a favorite weekday spot of mine for many years...perfect for a quiet lunch/nap/listen to ball game on the radio, or to read. But with the "for sale" signs all around it, I often wondered when it would come to an end.
I do recall, two years back, a barge of some sort was left in the cove for the entire summer, but I never saw any type of activity.
From your photo, however, it looks like the barge is now on the other side of the cove.
One of the few spots on the lake where you can anchor, and see no houses, and very few vehicles passing by on the road. Nothing but trees and very calm water in front of you.
I'll be sad to see it go...
