Steamboat rally

Friends of mine are coming up to the lake in a week or so and I thought they might enjoy the Steamboat Rally. I believe it is the week of Sept. 9 - Sept 18. I have never been to it. Are there different "events" during the week? Can a person take a ride on a steamboat? It sounds interesting to see. Does anyone know of any other things going on in September?
