Default Temporary Traffic Lights

Does anyone know why they are putting temporary traffic lights on the road that goes from Patrick's in Gilford to the Weirs?

Post Hi Airedale1...

I would imagine because of the work that will be done at dysfunction junction in the Weirs...

Patrick's generates some hefty traffic in all directions, year round!

Just my 4 cents worth...

Hey, fll may be able to add to this.

It looked to me like a section or two of Route 11 is undergoing a little plastic surgery just to make it less windy, and more straight, or something like that!

They recently did a traffic speed study near Governor's Island; that might be why. However, it's a little quick to go from study to funding to construction so quickly. Maybe they'll start at dysfuction junction soon, that would be great!!

I thought it was just to slow down traffic around the new construction. You come around two blind corners and if there is a dump truck backing into that new housing area...Whammmm... your toast.

The state is extending the water line to the little association across from Summit Ave.
