BOAT REG question?

Hi guys, new here. Will be bringing our "new" boat up to the Sunapee area this weekend (sad cant get up to Winni) Anyone know of places in the sunapee area that will be open this wseekend to register and get bow numbers?? any info would be great!!!! Stay safe!

Not all dealerships or marinas have the ability to offer registrations so you may want to call first. Now depending on what end of the lake you are coming to, some of these may be out of your way.

Jim's Marine in Newport 4 miles north of Sunapee Harbour 863-7625

Brown's Auto and Marine about another mile up from Jim's 863-3322

Bob's Beacon Marina in Newbury Harbour (across from Newbury Station Club) 763-4884

Last I knew Owen's Marine in Hooksett had the ability to register boats, but that may be out of your way.

You can register your boat at a marina?

All this time I have been going to the state offices and waiting an hour in line with the people who have all kinds of problems to resolve and I could have been just going to a marina,,,

Sure wish I heard about that before,,,

Is there a list of who does it?

I was hoping to be able to post a list of locations for registration, but the DMV site says to call around???

In NH a lot of the Town Clerks do the boat registrations. I did mine in Sandown when I registered the boat trailer a few weeks ago.

I do not believe that you would have to be a resident to use the town clerks office to register a boat but it would be M-F daytime hours with one evening open at most town halls in NH. Never on weekends.

We register our boat at Irwin Marine in Laconia. They handle the registrations in their Ship Store. They are open from 8 - 5 Monday through Saturday and 10 AM - 5 on Sunday during the boating season. You have to have cash or a check plus your documentation. Takes 2 minutes.
That was EASY!

You can also do it by mail. The state should be sending you a renewal form, if you registered the boat in NH the previous year, and that has the address of where to mail it.
Even more saved time for you now!
