Are drones flying too close to your lake house?
We have one that drops down between the trees and the house, then hovers for a bit.

Maybe No Harm Intended...
Drones are in use by realtors to take videos
later shown on the Web. It's sort of funny to see an eagle knock one out of the sky! I find video cameras pointed 24/7 in the direction of my domicile more intrusive. |

aircraft
oddly - drones are classified as aircraft and interfering with one or shooting it down is equivalent in the eyes of the law as doing the same to an airplane...

If you shoot a drone down with your slingshot, step on it and throw it in a garbage bag, the NTSB will not likely investigate. Some years ago, NH passed a law prohibiting surveillance/security cameras overlooking your neighbors property. Is there a conflict in the law? Listing my property with a Realtor and taking related, permitted, video can be a lot different than flying around to see what folks are doling. Police would need a warrant to do that wouldn't they?

The other day one of those Real Estate video companies was doing a drone shoot next to me and it was the first time I've seen one piloted by someone who really knows what they are doing. The thing went way far up and way far away...now I understand why they have those green and red navigation lights blinking!

Only a few NH Drone laws - Live free and fly
Quote:
The only state laws on drones that I know of are: 1) No aiding or disruption of fishing or hunting activities. 2) No operations within State Park boundaries. This has the effect of not allowing takeoff, control or landing. Overflying is controlled by FAA, not the state, so can be done as long as drone is in visual sight. 3) No take-off or landings on State DOT property 4) No photographs of people's "private parts" If a drone is harassing you, that is a local police matter but the police can report incidents to the FAA that could result in the remote pilot losing their right to fly.

NH Law
Quote:
AN ACT prohibiting unlawful peering into the dwelling place of another. Passed and signed into law July 2005 with amendments, effective Jan. 1, 2006. There is current discussion in Concord and I expect you will see additional clarification/regulation coming to a state near you. |

I haven't had any issues with drones, but if it was to happen, I would probably buy something like this.

I think he may be talking specifically about our industry.
The construction business is incredibly complex. Sky is a GC. It takes years to manage a project as complex as a house build. If I tried to do it, within a few weeks irreparable damage would be done. |
