Default Huge Smoke Plume

Does anyone know what burned yesterday afternoon? It appeared to be only a couple huundred yards behind Marine Patrol headquarters, but I couldn't see what was burning from the water. It lasted for almost four hours.

Yes, the Gilford FD had a "training in progress" off Rt 11 near the Wolfeboro RE building. They were buring some small structure from what I could see.

Default Gilford FD

The owner of a "motel" in Glendale donated his old building to the town as a "training' site.... It was in the paper about a month ago... my guess is that's what you saw.

Default yep

Yep...that's exactly what it was. Around noon is was a pretty spectacular burn, flames were shooting into the air.
Lots of peepers stopped by the side of the road to take pictures! What a traffic hazard.

Default Thanks, All!

I'm glad to hear that nobody lost their home or business, but I sure hope that the MP had gas masks! There were times that it was difficult to see clearly in that area because of the volume of smoke.
