Well, judging by the things I'm hearing over the scanner this evening, I'd say what's happening is:

Everybody gave up fishing very early today and started drinking heavily to soothe their wounded souls. At some point they ventured out to every local watering hole and began their celebrations of defeat in earnest. It ought to get even more interesting at around 1:25AM.

Oh, sorry - you meant are they catching anything! I dunno about that.

Lets see, acording to the Concord Monitor, among the things to go through the ice this last weekend; snomobile, ATV....and a walker.
