Drove by the southern end, Lily Pond completely open, Alton Bay open to the pavilion, elsewhere, ice very dark should go soon. Shorelines open in many areas 20 - 30 feet out. Water temp at 38 degrees!
If we continue in the 50's and sunny, should be open water within 10 days. |

Saw Lily Pond on my way home from work. Paugus Bay is open well past the visitor's center, and has receeded quite a bit from shore. There are a number of "open water" cracks which look like they run the width of the bay. Ice is black.

In the Moultonboro bay area and up towards Swissvale, there are large portions of open water, and some ice jams coming down the neck. It always ices out up here before the rest of the lake. I guess it should be all open by Monday.
