Default Camping

Looking for a nice reputable campground on some part of the lake. Perhaps one that might be selling the unit for the owner that they rent to but not required. Any suggestions welcomed

www.nhstateparks.com/ellacoya.html about all I know on this is that it is on the lake and a beautiful beach in Gilford and costs about $47/night with utility hook-ups, and one can go to the 23-different campgrounds in the White Mt Nat Forest, about one hour or more away, for just 16 or 18 dollars/night without any utility hook-ups.

Default Gunstock and Three Mile Island

Gunstock isn't directly on the lake, but has tons of things to do with reasonable prices. If you're not boating every day and will drive to do things, e.g. climb Mt. Major, go to Funspot, then it is a choice worth considering. Lodge for rainy days.
Probably full up for 2014, but the Appalachian Mountain Club owns Three Mile Island with family camping (rustic cabins, communal dining). All inclusive for quarters and food, and discounts for AMC members. If you've never been to summer camp on a lake as a kid, consider this. You have to make plans and apply early, (Jan-Feb?) and it probably helps if you can be a little flexible on your week. Runs from Sat.-Sat. I think.

Danforth bay in Ossippe is nice, not on Lake Winni but it has Lake Ossipee a bit pricey. Harbor Hill Camp ground rt 25 in Meredith has lake front, woodsy and nice sites. Meredith woods camp ground is nice clean sites and also woods not on the water. Those are the only ones I have been to locally. All reputable nice people.

Arcadia is also on the Neck Road, but I think they only have seasonal sites, not weekly.

This one turned up in a google search:

(I have a nice cottage that's available to rent in that area...the week you mention is the only week I have left. ; )

There are lots of campgrounds listed in our Lake Links directory:

This PDF from the NH Campground Owners Association also has lots of information:
