Default Christmas Island docks and boat ramps

For anyone who, like me, uses Christmas Island Motel for their boat launch, this was posted today.

I have used CI many times to launch. Is the office building still there and do you think that is where you would pay to launch? Is your guess that they are renting out docking space?Since you live right there we need you to stop in and find out pleeeeeease.

So, here's the deal with CI Motel docks and launch.
In order to use the launch or rent a slip you have to call 998-2315.
If you want to launch a boat they ask you give them a half-hour to 1 hour window to get someone over to unlock the chain at either boat ramp. The cost is $20.
They are also renting out boat slips for the season at $1950.

Is there any parking there for a truck and trailer, or is it just a drop and go type of launch?

With the motel closed I would imagine there is plenty of room, I just don't know what the deal is with who owns the existing buildings, parking spaces and property other than the docks and 3 or 4 buildings on the property and Pixie Island that are not being demolished.

I'd be willing to bet an extra sawbuck to the "key master" will get you a parking space.

problem is with this, so you want to get off the lake cause your truck and trailer are there and you call them to open up and no response or yup I will be there in a hour

Thanks PBF.Doesn't sound very convenient especially when ready to pull out.FWIW In past years there was no on-site parking.
